A neck lift is a surgical procedure that improves the appearance of your neck by removing the loose skin and tightening the underlying muscles.
One of the most popular reasons why patients undergo neck lifts is “turkey wattle neck,” a condition that is caused by loose skin under your chin that “wiggles” as you move. A neck lift may be recommended in conjunction with other procedures, such as liposuction and Botox.

IS NECK LIFT RIGHT FOR ME?
For any cosmetic procedure, you should be in good overall health. If you have any medical conditions or are taking prescription medications, you should discuss this during your consultation appointment. The appearance of your neck is not only affected by the appearance of your skin, but also by the underlying muscle structure.
A neck lift gives you a beautiful, smooth neck by removing excess skin and, if necessary, repositioning and tightening the muscles of your neck. When used in conjunction with a neck lift, liposuction and Botox can further improve your neck by removing stubborn fatty deposits and eliminating fine lines and wrinkles.
A neck lift requires general anesthesia. The incisions are made in locations where your scars are hidden after you heal, such as under your chin or behind your ears. Skin, fat, and muscle may be removed during your procedure, and your muscles may also be tightened with sutures. The procedure may take two to four hours, depending on your individual treatment plan.
RECOVERY AFTER A NECK LIFT
You will need to limit your activities and stay home from work for at least one week after your neck lift procedure. You may experience swelling and bruising that can last for several days. As the area heals, you may also experience tingling, tightening, pulling, numbness, and other symptoms for several weeks. You should be able to return to your normal activities within ten to 14 days, but you should avoid exercise and strenuous activities for at least three weeks.
