Hair Transplant Strip Method
The Strip Method is still the gold standard hair restoration procedure. 75% of hair transplants today are still done using this method.
A small strip is removed from the safe donor area (back of your head) and then the scalp is sutured in a way that promotes hair growth through the scar.
The scar is normally a very minimal linear scar, which is not visible if the hair is kept at ¾ of an inch or longer. The strip is then taken into the lab and your donor hair is harvested under high power stereo microscopes. The strip and ARTAS FUE methods produce similar results in new hair growth.
